Playing the game I love and getting beat by kids.

Tejo is obviously a game for all walks of life. After all, it is the national sport of an entire country. I have been playing now for close to 2 years and I have been playing in tournaments for about 3 months. I know I am fairly new so my expectations are not that high.
Well, my team was put into a position of elimination at the last tournament by two 11 year olds and their parents. I joked with them and told them it was my first time playing and that they should take it easy on us. As soon as those words left my mouth, one of the fathers hit a mecha (making the gunpowder explode). I knew it was going to be a quick game. One of the boys threw 2 bocins (When you throw your tejo into the middle of the ring) and his dad had 2 mechas and 2 bocins.
As an adult, it is not easy to watch someone so much younger than you be so much better at something. haha. I took it in stride and had a good time. I have been beaten by many people. An 11 year old is no different.
Do not worry, if you come out to play with Tejo in Medellin, I will do my best to not have the 3 little masters there. 🙂
